Roles
Facilitators
Facilitators exist as temporary leadership positions to help facilitate the heavier lifting required to maintain the group’s operations. These are elected positions with three month terms.
Head Facilitators
Responsible for new member orientation, coordination between facilitators and members, arranging social events for members, coordinating with hosts and vendors for payment transactions, distributing commissions between facilitators, set up and take down for events, mediating conflicts, filling in for other facilitators if they aren’t available or need help fulfilling their responsibilities, managing website and IG page.
Promotional Facilitators
Responsible for providing promotional material for social media, finding advertising opportunities, assisting other facilitators with recruitment of talent, taking photos and videos of events/workshops/social gatherings.
Fine Arts (FA) Facilitators
Responsible for collecting submitted works, organizing wall and floor space for art pieces, collaborating with other facilitators for table spaces at events, collecting art piece descriptions and printing labels.
Live Performance (LP) Facilitators
Responsible for coordinating live performers and musicians for events ensuring performers have the equipment needed, setting up equipment, coordinating speakers, set ups, and lighting when applicable. Communication on instructions for live performers, their wants, needs, and dispersing any commission / payments to live performers when applicable.
Member
Membership is available to anyone with interest, a talent to share, and who aligns with our values of kindness, respect, and honesty. If you wish to become a member, please apply via the apply for membership page.
Members are granted the ability to one vote or carry proxy if a member cannot attend an election. All standard members and facilitator members are subject to the same rules and consequences. The only difference involves conflict resolution which varies depending on who is involved and at what level.
Members are expected to submit information for their works, drop off their works, and pick up their works at the designated times if they wish to participate in an event. Additionally, members are expected to share promotional material within their social media network to help promote the all members of the community.
Members will receive free promotion via social media along with the rest of the Kindred Arts community. The more a member wishes to be involved with promotional material, the more they can be featured.
